Grattis helps you remember birthdays and other important days. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information You Add

Grattis lets you add names, dates, birth years, notes, gift ideas, photos, emoji, and other details for birthdays and important days. This information is stored on your device unless you choose to share it or export a backup.

Calendar Access

If you allow calendar access, Grattis can read calendar events so you can choose birthdays or other dates to import into the app. Grattis does not upload your calendar to our server.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Grattis schedules local reminders for birthdays and other important dates. Notification settings can be changed in the app or in iOS Settings.

Sharing

If you create a sharing link, the selected days are sent to the Grattis sharing service so another user can preview and import them. Shared links are private, time-limited, and may include images only if you choose to include them.

Backups

If you export a backup, the backup file is created for you to store or move. You are responsible for where you save or share that file.

Support

If you contact us for support, we use the information you provide, such as your email address and message, to respond to your request.

Third Parties

Grattis uses Apple system services such as iCloud, Calendar, notifications, and app distribution where applicable. The sharing service is hosted by our backend provider.
